Mr Chandrasenan has been totally committed to my care from the day of my knee replacement operation to my yearly check up. I have found him to be very pleasant, always smiling and interested in my feelings and queries. I have great faith in him and would recommend him to others.

I've had knee problems for the past 20 years following a footballing injury. I've had a number of surgeries over the years. Had a recent "flare up" which Mr Chandrasenan resolved by arthroscopy and remedial work whilst carrying out the arthroscopy. I had been having severe pain and other related complications, knee giving way etc. the surgery enabled pain free walking as far as I want to walk. I cannot thank Mr Chandrasenan and his team enough. Mr Chandrasenan explained things thoroughly and allowed me to be part of the decision making. I cannot recommend Mr Chandrasenan enough.

Mr. Jeevan Chandrasenan was exceptional and made it the best experience it could be for the operation to talk through each stage and put us at ease with any questions we might have; our thanks go to him and his team for the excellent result and basically giving my husband his life back without all the pain all the pain he had suffered previously. The results of the operation talk to themselves as each week I see a huge difference with his walking which is excellent for an eight-year-old.

This guy actually listens to ones' comments. He did so to mine, even giving him the most challenging time in Theatre he has experienced in his career to date.

I am exceptionally lucky to not only live in a country where health care is free at the point of need but also to have this fantastic surgeon at my local hospital! Jeevan has been my consultant for a few years now and following arthroscopies, physio and injections- he carried out a Partial knee replacement on my R knee in July 2017. The procedure went unbelievably well but more important than this was his genuine care. He listened, empathised and took all the necessary action at his disposal to end my on going pain. Fast forward 23 months and today, I have been given a date for a total knee replacement on my L knee. Once again, Jeevan explained the procedure fully, reminding me that the recovery this time will be harder due to it be a TKR. I want to state that even if the greatest orthopaedic knee surgeon from Harley Street came and offered to do this procedure for me within 48 hours, I would not give consent. This man is my hero, a humble man who probably doesn’t realise what he has done for me already and continues to do so. He is quite simply- the light at the end of a dark, painful tunnel. He is a credit to all who have played their part in giving no the people of NE Derbyshire an “outstanding” orthopaedic surgeon!
